Astrantia Major - Growing up to 3 feet tall and 18 inches wide, it is a perennial that is used in Gardens quite a bit in Europe.
The leaves have a basal shape and can grow to 8 inches long. The small flowers are greenish-white with reddish shades. The central ones are hermaphrodites, while the external ones are male. The flowering period extends from June through September. The plant also produces an essential oil that can be used in herbal medicines. It has been in the British Isles since the 16th century.
